SOLAS A-60 fire rated containers and modules engineered for offshore and hazardous-area duty.

Overview

A60 Fire Rated Containers in the UAE — engineered, manufactured and delivered by AXON Tec

An A60 container is a steel module insulated and constructed so that the average temperature on the unexposed side rises no more than 139 °C, and no single point more than 180 °C, during 60 minutes of a standard fire test. AXON Tec manufactures A60 fire rated containers in the UAE for offshore platforms, drilling rigs, refineries, terminals and other high-risk facilities where a 60-minute fire barrier is mandatory.

Every A60 unit we build combines certified A-60 rated bulkheads, decks and ceilings with A-60 fire doors, dampered penetrations and fire-rated windows, on a DNV 2.7-1 offshore lifting frame where required. Units can be supplied as offices, control rooms, workshops, laboratories, stores, battery rooms, switchgear rooms or living quarters.

FAQ

A60 Fire Rated Containers in the UAE — FAQs

Common questions AXON Tec clients ask about a60 fire rated containers in the uae.

What is an A60 rated container?+

An A60 rated container is a steel module built to the SOLAS A-60 fire integrity class. Its bulkheads, deck and ceiling are insulated so that during a standard 60-minute fire test the average temperature on the unexposed side rises no more than 139 °C above the start temperature, with no single point exceeding 180 °C. It also prevents the passage of smoke and flame for the full 60 minutes.

What is the difference between A0, A30 and A60 containers?+

The number is the number of minutes of insulation performance. A-0 divisions stop flame and smoke for 60 minutes but have no insulation requirement, A-30 provides 30 minutes of insulation and A-60 provides the full 60 minutes. Offshore accommodation and equipment modules on manned installations usually require A-60.

Are your A60 containers DNV 2.7-1 certified?+

Yes. A60 units intended for offshore lifting are engineered and certified to DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 with a certified lifting set, four-point padeyes, load testing and full documentation, inspected by DNV, ABS, LR or BV as the project requires.

Can A60 containers be supplied with Zone 1 or Zone 2 electrical equipment?+

Yes. We design and install ATEX / IECEx certified Ex e and Ex d lighting, distribution, HVAC and detection systems for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, complete with certification dossiers.

How long does delivery take in the UAE?+

Standard prefab and modular units are typically delivered in 6–12 weeks depending on size and specification. Flat-pack and stock container solutions can be dispatched faster; complex offshore and blast-resistant modules require longer engineering lead times. We confirm a firm schedule once the specification is fixed.

What standards and certifications do AXON Tec buildings comply with?+

Every unit we deliver is designed and manufactured under our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 quality, environmental and safety management, with third-party inspection to ATEX, IECEx, IMO, SOLAS, DNV 2.7-1, ABS, LR and BV where applicable. Independent third-party inspection is arranged for offshore, hazardous-area and marine projects on request.
